Evaluation
Polonoli, in his article, "What Makes Educational Software Educational?" states that four basic principles that all quality educational software has in common are:
- An adherence to the learning theory, including behavioural and cognitive theory.
- The employment of gaming features.
- Culturally sensitive content.
- The elicitation of an emotional response from the learner. Along with this, a brief discussion of the instructor's responsibility in using software is presented.
I evaluated Quizizz as a Learning tool using the SAMR model. This is what I concluded.

Evaluation: Quizizz for schools is a powerful and interactive academic software, that offers a variety of benefits for both teachers and students. It is user friendly and the Basic package is free. Quizizz can be used simultaneously by multiple users, and it is simple to manipulate. Even though tutorial and technical support is available there is no local support here in Barbados to assist users. Students can actively engage with the platform, and it is suited for all grade levels. I would recommend Quizizz as a reliable Academic Software to be used in the teaching/ learning process, whether face-to-face or online. The basic version, which is very effective, is free of cost. This software is sufficient in most to all categories. Adoption of this product is encouraged as it meets the needs of its users. has shown it effectiveness especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though connectivity plays an important role in its execution, I highly recommend Quizizz as an excellent Academic Software tool for engaging students and I believe it should be integrated in the classroom, whether to be used face-to-face or through online learning.
Stacia, your presentation is very creative and unique. Using mind-meister to understand the thought process was incredible and I agree with your recommendation.😊
